Project Runway - Jay McCarroll

Jay McCarroll's documentary will be in theatres tomorrow!

From his website:

It’s been a while since the sharp-witted Jay McCarroll was dubbed “the next great American designer” on season one of reality TV’s “Project Runway” and he’s anxious to finally show his first line of clothing. The feature documentary “Eleven Minutes” chronicles his year-long journey preparing his first independent runway show for New York’s Fashion Week in Bryant Park and the subsequent selling of his line to stores. The result is an in-depth, painfully raw and humorous exploration of the creative process and the constant balancing of commerce with art, fame with talent and reality TV with actual reality.

Whitney and Jay are not dating? The City is not real? How can it be?

Apparently Jay only appeared on the show to garner attention for his band. A friend has been quoted as saying he is not now, nor has he EVER dated Whitney.

He has however dated Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr (who appeared in his bands first video).

I'm Not Obsessed

Ricky Gervais - Letter to President Obama

Ricky Gervais posted this hilarious letter to President Obama on his blog. This is why he should be hosting the Oscars!

As I'm sure you are aware, one of your flock has strayed. A Miss Paris Hilton, who is, I believe, a resident of Beverley Hills, is in England doing a reality game show for ITV2 called Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. Fine. I have no problem with that. I don't have to watch. But now it has come to my attention that she has bought a house in North London a few miles from me, and is out and about ingratiating herself with the Great British public.

Mr President. We are not stupid. This is clearly a retaliatory strike for Posh Spice moving to LA. I know it, and you know it, so let's cut the "it's a free country" nonsense and come to some agreement.

I propose an exchange. This is how it would work. We call them both and tell them that we've found a giant "paparazzi nest", in New York say. (half way home for both of them already) At first they may be confused that they'd never heard of such a thing before, but the thought of that many photographers in one place will be irresistible. Once we get them there, while they are having their photos taken (we will have hire a few guys with cameras to make it look good) we will swap their limos around. It's fool proof.

Fantastic back issues of InFashion. Vintage Tyra, Marky Mark and awful '90s style...

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger are one of my favorite celeb couples. I suspect she helped him select this polka dot neck scarf. I think it works! What do you think?

Angelina Jolie looking lovely in Japan wearing a Ralph Lauren grey cashmere dress. Its great to see her return to her signature style after the more billowy looks we have seen lately.

Jay Lyon (better known as Whitney's boyfriend on The City) has released a music video starring Miranda Kerr!

Notes from the net

The Selby

Another children's book is coming to the big screen! Does everyone remember Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? Andy Samberg, Anna Faris and Mr. T are all lending their voices to this 3D animated feature.

Yay! More Amy Poehler!

Olivia is looking to make the leap from scripted reality to "serious acting". Toodles!

Underwear do or don't....I think I'll take this over that thank you.

Notice that perezhilton.com is NOT on this list??

Four things I loved this weekend...

MAC

Slumdog Millionaire - What a great movie. I also loved the book which was quite different than the movie. I suggest you check out both!

Although I debated trying something different, I repurchased the Mac Plushlash and I am glad I did! They modified the brush and it is quite an improvement on the original shape. Love!

After reading Skinny Bitch I've been paying more attention to purchasing organic products (especially wines). The organic Grenata Malbec 2007 is delicious!

On Saturday we celebrated a friends birthday at a Belgian restaurant called Chambar. The Moroccan Lamb Tagine was to die for. I found this recipe online and am inspired to try Moroccan cooking!
