Kevin Federline to Launch Fashion Line For Kids

Us Weekly

Kevin Federline has a new career in mind - fashion designer. He is currently working on a clothing line for kids.

What is his motivation behind this new project?

"You buy your kids a pair of True Religions then they roll around in the dirt like kids do and a $200 pair of jeans is gone. With this economy, I’m looking to do something much more reasonable."

Note: Kevin reportedly receives over $20,000 a month in child support from Britney.

Message to Erin Wasson

Erin,

I adore you and your free spirit California style. Even though you wear things I (and most girls) could never pull off, I can't condone your decision to wear these pants; despite the fact they are Balmain.

May I suggest:

Project Runway - Jay McCarroll

Jay McCarroll's documentary will be in theatres tomorrow!

From his website:

It’s been a while since the sharp-witted Jay McCarroll was dubbed “the next great American designer” on season one of reality TV’s “Project Runway” and he’s anxious to finally show his first line of clothing. The feature documentary “Eleven Minutes” chronicles his year-long journey preparing his first independent runway show for New York’s Fashion Week in Bryant Park and the subsequent selling of his line to stores. The result is an in-depth, painfully raw and humorous exploration of the creative process and the constant balancing of commerce with art, fame with talent and reality TV with actual reality.

Yikes!

Well friends, in two days I will be making a major hair change.

For a long long time now I have had very dark red hair which I love very much!
However, the maintanance of this color is just too much. I can't even count how much money and how many hours I have spent at the salon over the last few years.

So, I have decided to head towards the blonde!

I am thinking a nice strawberry blonde like Geri's hair in this picture.

With blonde highlights like Drew's.

What do you think?

Lighting Ideas

This Edison Chandalier was featured on uncrate. I love how simple and bare bones the design is, yet the size gives it such presence!

Vessel is known for their beautiful yet practical items and these rechargeable Candela Glow lights are no exception. I think these would look gorgeous at an outdoor dinner party. And they won't blow out in the wind!

Also worth checking out is Restoration Hardware who always has lovely lighting options.
I like the industrial feel of this Harmon pendant light. The high shine steel adds femininity to an otherwise masculine piece. This one would please both my boyfriend and I!

Notes from the net

The Selby

Another children's book is coming to the big screen! Does everyone remember Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? Andy Samberg, Anna Faris and Mr. T are all lending their voices to this 3D animated feature.

Yay! More Amy Poehler!

Olivia is looking to make the leap from scripted reality to "serious acting". Toodles!

Underwear do or don't....I think I'll take this over that thank you.

Notice that perezhilton.com is NOT on this list??

Cutoffs are everywhere! Here, here and my favorite - here!

Before and After

This amazing kitchen renovation was featured on Design*Sponge...

The blue of the glass against the chocolate wood with the stone detailing gives the room a very organic yet crisp feel. The island, bar and dining table make it a perfect area for entertaining.
Love.

Best of Domino Magazine (February)

Ah I love Zooey!

Although I didn't agree with all of her styling, I did love Mary McDonald's use of a chalkboard. Chalkboards are so simple but fun. Try making your own with blackboard paint from a craft store.

This bra featured on the French inspired Editors Picks page - so girlie and pretty!

I adored Sunrise Ruffalo's house. This entryway features perfectly mismatched artwork and found objects.

Even the kids rooms were amazing - the 'peace on earth' banner came from a local flea market.

Four things I loved this weekend...

MAC

Slumdog Millionaire - What a great movie. I also loved the book which was quite different than the movie. I suggest you check out both!

Although I debated trying something different, I repurchased the Mac Plushlash and I am glad I did! They modified the brush and it is quite an improvement on the original shape. Love!

After reading Skinny Bitch I've been paying more attention to purchasing organic products (especially wines). The organic Grenata Malbec 2007 is delicious!

On Saturday we celebrated a friends birthday at a Belgian restaurant called Chambar. The Moroccan Lamb Tagine was to die for. I found this recipe online and am inspired to try Moroccan cooking!
Do you have any recipes to share?

Obama's Inauguration - History is Made

Did you watch? yay!everyday

Huffington Post

Sign on SanDiego

How cute are these two? Before their first dance as President and first lady, Barack greeted the crowd with - "First of all, how good looking is my wife?".

Designed by Isabel Toledo, Michelle's inauguration ceremony dress featured a beautiful jewelled collar.
The white, one shoulder gown she wore for the ball was created by a relatively unknown designer - Jason Wu.

Hamish Bowles (Vogue) called the gown "supreme modern elegance. A pitch-perfect choice: appropriately formal but romantic and imaginative."

According to tradition, Michelle's ball gown will be donated to the Smithsonian.

What did you think? Did you like her dress selections?

pretty...

Perfectly girlie, beautiful, vintage feeling headbands.
